We didn't have time to play musical shadow tag, but it would be a fun game to play on spring break.. You play music and the kids walked around the yard or park. When the music stops they need to find a shadow and tag it. They can't tag the same shadow more than once.
We talked about Easter during literacy circle. We read the story "Peter Rabbit's Happy Easter" by Grace Maccarone. Thinking it will please Mother, Peter Rabbit gathers eggs from his neighbors to give to her. When Peter accidentally knocks over several jars of paint, the eggs are splashed with all the colors of the rainbow. But Mother Rabbit is not pleased, and she tells Peter to return the eggs. He does so, and the next day all the children of the neighborhood had a wonderful time finding the Easter eggs hidden in the garden. The kids made a list of things they do at home for Easter. They decorate Easter eggs, go on a Easter egg hunt, have a Easter basket filled with candy and eggs, go to church, and visit family.
For art the kids made a bunny basket. They glued two pink ears on the bunny. They put a pink nose in the middle of the bunny's face and then glued 3 whiskers on both sides of the nose. The bunny also need 2 eyes. Each bunny needed a handle so we could use it for our Easter egg hunt!
We hope you all have a wonderful Easter holiday and Spring Break with your families! We will miss the kiddos, but hope everyone comes back relaxed and rested! We have SO much learning to do before the end of the year!!
